United Way Literacy Kits | $500-$1,000+ Investment

Throughout the year, we collect and assemble more than 1,200 United Way Literacy Kits that are distributed to young learners in our county. Each kit includes school supplies, an age-appropriate book, and a hands-on activity to go along with the book. This program costs United Way nearly $4,000 each year.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library | $500-$10,000 Investment

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, we are starting a new chapter in early childhood literacy across Portage County. The program provides our community's children from birth to age 5 with a free book each month. Books are mailed directly to the child's home at no cost to the family. This program costs United Way over $40,000 each year.

2-1-1 Information Line | $500-$10,000 Investment

United Way's 2-1-1 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities to the essential health and human services they need. 2-1-1 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This program costs United Way $40,000 each year.

United Way of Portage County hosts annual events to help support our fundraising efforts. For over 50 years, United Way of Portage County has served our community. Sponsorship opportunities bring in contributions that allow us to continue addressing our community's top needs. A tournament to support United Way of Portage County and their community funded partners. Come bowl in a Doubles Tournament. The event features dinner, door prizes, colored pin bonuses and the celebration of United Way of Portage County's mission!

Come and join us at Rays Place in Kent for the start of the NCAA Championship Tournament! This event is free to the public. Participate in men's and women's squares and bracket fundraisers, as well as bidding on raffle baskets. A portion of food and drink sales will benefit UWPC.

United Way's annual Reverse Raffle will be held each Spring. Attendees will enjoy a fun-filled event featuring dinner and drinks, raffles and a United Way Annual Campaign update. Grand prize of $2,000.

Have your company represented as United Way highlights the years accomplishments and recognizes outstanding campaign achievements. The evening will feature awards for Volunteer of the Year and the Gamechanger Partner of the Year. The event will also include recognition and thanks to outgoing board members as well as induction of new board members to United Way of Portage County's Board of Directors.

Golf CLASSIC (September) | $250-$5,000 Investment

A four team scramble at Windmill Lakes in Ravenna. Play with Kent State University Golf Team members or alumni. Both men and women's teams participate. Each team receives a golf cart, lunch, beverage cart access, invitation to the awards reception and hole sponsorship signage. By becoming a sponsor today, you're allowing us to host community events without touching one cent of our donors' dollars.
