With 211
Portage’s Community guides – brochures and booklets filled with
contact information and phone numbers that helps individuals
touch base with the correct resources – individuals in
need can have a go-to resource at their fingertips when they are
in need of assistance.
The Yellow Pages for Today's
Families directory is a specialized directory of services
available to Portage County families and their children.
The Senior Services Directory is a specialized directory
of services available to older adults in Portage County. The Where to Turn directory is a directory of resources
for displaced workers in Portage County.
211 Portage staff updates the
Community Checklists on an annual or bi-annual basis, to ensure that
health and human service information is up to date. The

Emergency Assistance Network
United Way 211 Portage
produces the quarterly newsletter, the EA Update, in
collaboration with the Emergency Assistance network of Portage
County. The EA Update provides caseworkers, social
service personnel, as well as individuals and families with
information about services that may be available on a quarterly
basis. 211 Portage also produces the Emergency
Assistance Network: Year in Review. This annual publication
provides information on the resources utilized by low-income
households in Portage County, and is sent to over 225 local,
county, and state government officials, agencies, organizations,
planners, and funders.
