United Way of Portage County Community Impact Areas

United Way of Portage County’s Community Impact Areas were formed to focus community efforts to help people in the most efficient and effective manner. By centering our energy on supporting and maintaining services in these five areas, United Way is able to help create greater change in our county.

United Way of Portage County’s Community Impact Areas are:

Helping Children & Youth
Helping Families
Helping Adults
Responding to Crises
Maintaining Health & Well-Being

Children at the Headstart in Ravenna enjoy sharing smiles with an Arrow Distributing volunteer who participated in United Way’s Days of Caring. Held in May, Days of Caring is an opportunity for businesses and employees to venture out to visit social service programs and to lend a helping hand.
