2008-2009 Honorary Campaign Chairman
Scott R. Levin is the CEO and President of The Step2 Company LLC, a multinational designer, manufacturer and marketer of high quality products for children and for the home and garden. Prior to joining Step2 in January of 2007, Scott was the President of Pentair Corporation’s Pool and Spa Division for the past three years.
In 1974,
Scott graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA in
English Literature, and attained a Ph.D. in Comparative
Literature from Indiana University in 1979, while working as a
teacher at the university. He then pursued and received his
Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Indiana
University in 1981.
Scott’s
executive career began in 1981 with a position in treasury at
Exxon Corporation, and then progressed in a series of finance
and general management assignments at United Technologies
Corporation and its business divisions: Pratt & Whitney, Otis
Elevator, and Carrier Air Conditioning. In 1998, Scott joined
a venture capital roll-up, Imperial Home Décor Group, a fashion
designer and manufacturer of wallpaper, and served in several
executive finance and leadership positions. In 2002, he joined
AlixPartners, a leading turnaround and restructuring firm, and,
in 2003 became the President of Pentair’s Pump Division. Scott
has a wide range of experience in leadership, general
management, product development, operations and finance,
