United Way of Portage County Cancels Third Annual Gourmet Gala Ravenna, Ohio—Due to the current economic situation, United Way of Portage County has decided to cancel their third annual Gourmet Gala that was to be held on February 22, 2009. United Way would like to thank: The Bertram Hotel for extending their services and Meadon and Moore for sponsoring the event. United Way’s campaign will be complete by early spring, and we hope to have the information on our progress to the community then. United Way of Portage County is looking forward to what 2009 is going to bring and is eager to hold a gala in 2010.
